Hi all, my 2.5 year old little niece is entering the stage where all bugs, spiders, ants, flies etc. are scary and she doesn't like them. I must admit, I'm also not a fan, but I know this is an irrational fear, so I try not to show my dislike and I try to reassure her that they're not scary. Does anyone know, are there any story books suitable for such a young age, where maybe the main character is a bug or a spider or something, or where bugs are specifically treated as being friendly? She's got lots of books about not being scared of the dark, so I wondered if there was anything similar out there about bugs? Thanks!

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly. I have the version by Pam Adams, but I think there are lots available. Very easy to sing along to.
I think there is a Mr Buzz the Beeman in the Happy Families series by Allan Ahlberg.
Incey Wincey Spider.
