2 year old wanting to read

Hi everyone, my son will be three in August. He is book obsessed. And will very easily learn all the words to his favourite books. He is now showing an interest in following the words on the pages.
Can anyone recommend any good first reader books or what they use in schools now

Thanks

Schools now tend to teach a phonics based reading programme rather than teach sight words. Read write inc do some good flashcards if you wanted to start teaching letter sounds. My 2.5 year old knows quite a few.

If he is in pre-school or nursery, ask which system they use?
