Please help me find an old book from the 80’s 90’s

My sister has asked me to find out the name of a book (or series of books) I had as a child where the main character was a doll who ate tapioca.

Long shot I know as that’s all there is to go on, does this ring a bell with anybody?

I was born in 1986 if that helps!

The Maggie Gumption series by Margaret Stuart Barry would fit time wise ( published late 70s early 80s) but I can’t remember if she ate tapioca or not!

No neither of those, thanks for trying though! I’m completly lost. I could only come up with Raggie dolls and the magic porridge pot and it’s neither of those.

Tapioca sounds much older than the 1980s. There's an Enid Blyton series called the enchanted doll.
