We're off to Paris with the kids, Any suggestions for themed books beyond Madeline for the 5 year old and When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit for the 9&10 year olds?

For upper primary:
Rooftoppers by Katherine Rundell
Peril in Paris by Katherine Woodfine
A Hundred Million Francs

For younger children:
A Lion in Paris
Shifty McGifty and the Missing Masterpiece
Diva and Flea: A Parisian Tale

For the older ones, perhaps The Invention of Hugo Cabret?

CountFosco · 20/08/2018 13:15

Thanks! Should have thought of Hugo but it's a bit chunky. Maybe for when we return. Beginning to wish we all had kindles, think half the DDs packing will be books. Bought Rooftoppers (we loved Wolf Wilder) and A Hundred Million Francs for the older two, Diva and Flea for the little one. They've also got activity books and are planning other books as well.

Monsieur Albert Rides To Glory is a lovely picture book, in verse (to be read in a hammy French accent). I also love the Anatole series, if they are still in print.

The Madame series by Rupert Kingfisher is great!

Sorry, I meant Madame Pamplemousse!

We used A Walk in Paris by Salvatore Rubbino for my daughters when we went to Paris a couple of years ago. They were 3 & 7.

Not a book but Ratatouille is set on Paris.
