Books for 9 year old girl - very able reader

It's my DD 9th Birthday soon and she has asked for books! She is the biggest bookworm out!
She is a very able reader so easily can read a 9+ book.
Any recommendations for any series of books she likes books along the lines of Dork Diary's .

Has she read the Narnia books yet? They're good for that age

I read all the Agatha Christie Poirot and Miss Marple books at that age. Loved them!

Thanks that's a few to go on with, she gets through about 6 books a week!

My dd has lived Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo, the Crestomanci books by Diana Wynne-Jones and the Roman Mysteries by Caroline Lawrence

The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell entranced my 9 year old book worm.

Another vote for Diana Wynne Jones' Chrestomanci stories. Garth Nix's Keys of the Kingdom series is good too.

My DD is the same, she is reading some of the classics at the mo, like The Little Princess, The Secret Garden, The Little white horse. Lovely stories and good at stretching their vocabulary with some of the old fashioned text xxx

Has she read the Adventure series by Enid Blyton?
Titles are: Valley of Adventure, Sea of Adventure, Circus of Adventure....

The Terry Pratchett Discworld Books and if she likes a challenge, The Hobbit.

Currently reading The Legend of Podkin One-Ear (Kieran Lareood) after which she'll be reading Inkheart (Cornelia Funke) and Secrets of a Sun King (Emma Carroll). Also on her list is The Swiss Family Robinson (Johann Wyss) and the Case of the Jewelled Moth, which is part of the Sinclair Mysteries (Katherine Woodfine).
