Books for after phonics level 6

My daughter has struggled with her reading and doesn’t find any enjoyment in it. At 7 she has only reached level 6 on the phonics books but I’m not sure what the next step of books are for her.
Phonics seem to stop at this stage and I’m looking for new books for her to read at home. I want to make sure I don’t skip levels as if I make the next stage of books too challenging she struggles and gives up.
Any recommendations?

Don't worry, she's not doing too badly!
This helpful document will show that she's not too far behind and will hopefully give you some idea of how she should be progressing. If I were you, I wouldn't pay too much notice to book bands and levels. I've found that they can be quite discouraging especially for older readers and it's more important to find something that they enjoy. Aim to get books about things she's interested in (don't discount non-fiction) and don't worry too much if the level is right. If it's too easy, she'll gain confidence from it, and if it's too hard at first, either share the reading or read it yourself first with her following along with your finger.
Another piece of advice would be to avoid investing too much in books. She's unlikely to read them more than once. Instead I'd spend the money on a Twinkl subscription, which provides access to a vast range of engaging reading resources (and other subjects) linked to the national curriculum. For proper books, use the local library.
If you're still after your own collection of reading books, I'd recommend Usborne Very First Readers. The stories are much more imaginative than most of the Oxford Reading Tree books.
