What next for an Alex Rider fan?

DS is not the most voracious of readers but he loved the Alex Rider series. I would love to find something similar that would reignite his reading as since finishing the series a little while ago he is struggling to find anything that grabs him as much. He is 13 and in Yr8.
Any suggestions oh wise mumnetters?

Second the Young Bond books.
Also the Artemis Fowl series.

Cherub were what all mine went on to (or Henderson Boys, which is like a set of prequels). They're similar idea to Alex Rider, but a certain amount grittier. Ds and dd2 preferred AR, but dd1 absolutely loved Cherub.

They're set in a school for youth spies basically. Warning though: they do smoke and drink (my opinion is that's a really weak bit as they're doing a lot of fitness so would be really anti that) and James (the main character) does quite a bit of thinking about girls, and as you are following him, it does kind of come out a bit.
If you think he may be thrown (or over impressed Grin_ by that I'd suggest you read one first to check.

Thanks for the suggestions, think I will try the young Bond books first as that sounds up his street. Also think the Grisham books might be something he'd enjoy. He has tried Percy Jackson (book and film) but it hasn't sparked his interest.
