What age are these suitable for?
Dd1 is 6 turning 7 in March and saw them in the works, instantly recognised them from school and wants to spend her Christmas money on them.
But Amazon description says 9+.
Is this age suitability for themes or complexity/length. She's a strong reader (not mn level 😉but in real world pretty good)

Too young imho. There are preteen/teen themes.
I'm trying to think of similar but much more appropriate... Calvin & Hobbes?

I always recommend common sense media. They give an age guide, both what they say and what kids say, but they also say why they give the rating and what positive things or things you might want to discuss with your kids.

I think they fall on the conservative side, but because they say why they give the ratings, you can make your own call

Thank You, that's a great resource which I've now bookmarked and based on what She's read in the last few months we'll stick to younger books for now.
