Help needed tracking down an old book...

Just wondering if anyone can help me track an old children’s Christmas book. I think it was called: A Present for Rabbit (not too sure) but is about a rabbit (I think) that received a carrot at Christmas - passed it to another animal - and so it continued until
(I think) it returned back to rabbit. It was published definitely before 2000 but think most likely in the 80s. Just hoping it rings bells for my generation (46) or anyone who works with young children. It was a favourite to read to nursery children many years ago. Many thanks

I found my version. It's called Rabbit's Gift - a fable from China - by George Shannon. In this version the Rabbit gives a turnip.

It is a very similar story but would have been published way before 2007. Thank you for responding and checking 😊
