Recommendations for 4yr old ds

Dd loves books and I loved reading to her. Ds likes books and could come to love them but we always seem to read the same ones (his choice).

So I'm looking for some recommendations as I have grown very bored with reading the same books.

This is what he currently loves.
The dinosaur that pooped a planet.
The Bertie poo/fart books
Anything by Mo Willems
Some Julia Donaldson but not all, he finds the Tyrannosaurus Drip too intense.

Thank you in advance.

I recently got my 3 year old one from myowntale.com. She loves it and we read it to her almost every night.

The Usborne Look Inside non-fiction. And the See Inside ones. Massive hits. My Big Shouting Day. Katie Morag stories. Anything by Oliver Jeffers. Funny Bones. Cops & Robbers. Burglar Bill. Does like stick man, squash & a squeeze, and the everywhere bear by Julia Donaldson. What Grown Ups Do All Day. The old school Topsy & Tim are surprisingly a hit in our house too.

Sounds like a trip to the library to me. Agree with non-fiction suggestion.

Have you tried the books by Elys Dolan? Brilliantly funny, and there's tonnes of details in them too, so repeated readings can be a bit different each time.

Nicola Davies is brilliant at non-fiction.

This one has just come out, it's really funny too.

Books by Babette Cole are perfect for little boys and are amusing for adults too!
Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs
The timeless Mr Men series.

My four year old likes the Shirley Hughes Alfie series. I love reading them too as takes me back to my childhood. I brought a 'treasury' for next to nothing on amazon (one of the used £0.01 plus postage deals) which has lovely stories in it.

Have you read Izzy Gizmo and the other ones in that series? Especially good if your child likes rhymes.

The Percy the Parkkeeper ones are also lovely.

I also like the anthology kind of ones, with a good variety of different themes/settings/characters. We have one called something like A Story For Every Day, or similar.
