Audio book for a 5 and 8 year old

Several long car journeys coming up over the next few months and we like to have audio books to listen to. However, it's increasingly difficult to find a book that will please both DS and DD.

They've both liked the first 3 Harry Potters, (although admittedly a bit soon for DS) tolerated a David Walliams (but I can't bear another), a Famous Five, Matilda, Just William.

Any suggestions for good books that would entertain both? Thanks.

All the Roald Dahls :-)
Swallows & Amazons
Bedknobs & broomsticks
The Hobbit

Look out for the BBC ones
Paddington
Jungle Book
Winnie the Pooh
Wind in the Willows
DS also liked Mr Gum

How to train your dragon series, narrated by David Tennant, utterly brilliant, we've really enjoyed them and there's about 12 books. Less scary and probably funnier than Harry Potter

TapStepBallChange beat me to it. Very funny, slightly rude (when you're little) and exciting. With a good female character in the later books.
