9 year old body development book

Hello, I have an almost 9 year old girl who is beginning to have swollen nipples and is tall and well developed for her age - she's in 12 year old clothes. She is very innocent and naive and terrified of the sight of blood. I feel I need to begin to prepare her for the idea of periods, but not sex yet, she is really not ready for that chat.
Can anyone recommend a book to start us off please, nice and gentle, about body changes and periods but not any of the adult stuff that goes with it? Thanks in advance.

Watching with interest. I'm after something similar for my 8 year old.

Could you not have a chat about periods with her yourself? I had a talk with DD a couple of weeks ago and she was fine. I explained about pads and tampons as well and got some of mine out for her to have a look at. I think it was better coming from me rather than a book.

Yes good point, we read together, so I thought we could get a good book and read it, chat at the same time

I bought my 10 year old the book what's happening to me. It's an usborne book and very informative. My niece also has the female one. It's factual and scientific, but is easy for a child to follow. Plus I would talk to her about what will happen so if it happens soon it's not as scary.

I bought one entitled "the care and keeping of you"

It's pretty good.
