Recipe book for DS13

DS(13) has expressed an interest in taking more of a role in preparing and cooking for the family. He's baked with me plenty in the past. Was thinking of getting him a recipe book for Christmas with perhaps a mix of baking and everyday/special meals he could prepare easily by himself. Any ideas?

The Sam Stern books are ideal for teenagers

I bought my DS Nigella's How to be a Domestic Goddess at that age.

Sam Stern are the best I have seen. Really good recipes.

If you are feeling rich, a cooking course is also a good idea. La Cucina Caldesi does good ones for teens.

Thanks all. I'll check out Sam Stern. Think I've got the Nigella one somewhere too.

I gave DGD 11 Nadiya Hussain's book for her birthday. Simple (ish) but interesting recipes and she's enjoyed using it.

Just had a look at the Sam Stern ones. They look as though they'll fit the bill perfectly and think DS will identify with him. Looked at Nadiya's one too but illustrations seemed aimed at younger children though I'm sure her recipes are great.
