Mystery and adventure books for DD age 7 please

She has recently read the Tumtum and nutmeg series, is currently reading Emily Eyefinger. she hasn't been so keen on Clementine Rose series.

He older sister is reading the Friday Barnes Girl Detective series and she wants to read them, but they are too hard for her yet.

Any ideas?

We've really enjoyed the Future Ratboy series, if she's not averse to books marketed to boys?

I'd recommend Midnight for Charlie Bone. My seven yr old DS has thoroughly enjoyed this book. First one in a series (haven't read the rest...yet!)

I have had the Charlie bone books recommended to me as well haven't read them yet they are in our list

My eight year old is reading some versions of Sherlock Holmes for children

The Violet books by Harriet Whitehorn are worth a look - we enjoyed the first one. They are marketed for age 7+

Hard to beat secret seven, famous five, five find outers and adventure series (eg island of adventure).

Try her on the Maisie Hitchins series by Holly Webb. Also the Ottoline series by Chris Riddell

Try the Lottie Lipton adventures by Dan Metcalf.
Also Mariella Mystery series.
