Fairy tale fun from the creators of The Giant of Jum!

When a kind young boy helps a strange-looking bird, a beautiful friendship forms. But what these two friends don't realise is that one is a young knight...and the other a young dragon! What will they do when they discover they are enemies and destined to FIGHT?

The Dragon and the Nibblesome Knight is a bold, funny and heartwarming story from a perfect picture book pairing; the uniquely talented Elli Woollard and award-winning Benji Davies.

Can knights and dragons ever be friends?

Share your child's favourite fairy tale to win one of TEN sets of Elli Woollard books including The Dragon and the Nibblesome Knight, The Giant of Jum and Swashbuckle Lil The Secret Pirate!

DD1 loves goldilocks and the three bears. She likes to act it out after reading it and always tells me that Goldilocks is very naughty, but that it's sad that she has to run away. DD2 constantly asks for Little Red Riding Hood, but it has to be the version where the wolf eats Little Red Riding Hood and grandma!

My 4yo DD's favourite fairy tale is Rapunzel, DD loves her long hair - DD has waist-length hair. (If she thinks I'm letting her grow it that long, though...) We do have a different story most nights though. Often about dinosaurs Grin

My favourite fairytale is "the practical princess" - as a child I loved it, and I kept the book, so in due course I hope my daughter will love it too. My daughter loves Cinderella.

Asuitablemum · 12/05/2016 21:19

My son loves the gingerbread man.

piratetoes · 12/05/2016 21:32

My daughter loves Cinderella at the moment. We've read quite a few different versions and come back to them again and again.

My kids love the classics, especially Rapunzel (the daughter, who has long blond hair) and The Gingerbread Man.

My dd is 23 today and has had a lifelong love of The Little Mermaid. One of her gifts today is a beautiful copy with original illustrations from her brother that she will absolutely love. At Christmas she had an original watercolour commissioned that takes pride of place in her room. So funny that a book I read to her as a little girl is something she holds so dear.

forkhandles4candles · 15/05/2016 08:03

they love them all, but The Gingerbread Man and Red Riding Hood are specially favourites as they are told so variously and some versions are really brutal

Susangilley7 · 15/05/2016 18:27

Has to be Winnie the Pooh. He loves all the animals.

dexy24 · 15/05/2016 20:34

My 4 yr old DS loves any story with the big bad wolf in it so never tires of the Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. He also loves any variation on these themes and a particular favourite is a story where Granny turns into the wolf, and seeks help from the Three Little Pigs! The next day he was full of questions for his own Granny asking if she turned into the Big Bad Wolf when no-one was looking!

glenthebattleostrich · 16/05/2016 08:00

It's a close thing between goldilocks and red riding hood at the moment, which have to be read in the correct costume!

Backhometothenorth · 16/05/2016 10:31

Rapunzel! It was my favourite as a child and now my 3 year old daughter loves it too

Miloarmadillo1 · 17/05/2016 07:22

Cinderella. My 9 year old even starred in a version he had written and produced with a small group of friend at school, he was a very convincing wicked stepmother. My 6 yr old likes it too, nothing wrong with a rags to riches fairy tale.

Leeds2 · 17/05/2016 14:57

Cinderella!

Noah2012 · 20/05/2016 07:28

My little boy loves Sleeping Beauty at the moment. But his favourite books change regularly! So could be anything next month! Keeps me on my toes! Smile

Susangilley7 · 30/05/2016 22:20

My children and my granddaughters love the Winnie the Pooh stories.
