I know that sounds an odd choice but DD really wants to try reading one. She likes anything that can be vaguely related to Monster High type stuff so vampires etc, but is nervous about anything death related (especially war). She loves the first 2 Harry Potter films and was only a little freaked out by the third, if that helps give an idea.
I used to love them when I was young (one of the reasons she wants to) but can't remember any details, I do remember that they are stand alone stories though so she doesn't have to start at book 1.
Any suggestions please? :)
