Goosebumps

Ds is 8 and had seen the film trailer for goosebumps. Are these any good for an 8yo to read and which one is best to start with?

Goosebumps books are amazing, I was about his age when I first stared on them!
They can be quite advanced and obviously scary, does he scare easily?
