Books to read aloud to nearly 9 year old dd

Dd is nearly 9 and an avid reader. She reads a lot herself but still likes me to read to her and I like it too.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for books to read aloud to her? We've just finished reading Ballet Shoes together which was lovely, I know there are others, Tennis Shoes, Theatre Shoes etc. She's read all the Harry Potter books.

Any suggestions please?

Anne of Green Gables, Black Beauty, Heidi, The Secret Garden, Nancy Drew mysteries, Little Women, The Railway Children, Harriet the Spy, Emil and the Detectives (or any Erich Kastner books), The Children of Green Knowe, Charlotte Sometimes, A Stitch in Time.
