We are so bored with our books! His birthday is coming up, any suggestions?

Plus, he's also starting to read some words. Any interesting, easy books for him to read?

Does he like dinosaurs? The Dinosaur Cove series is formulaic and repetitive great. Essentially 2 boys find a cave that leads them back to the dinosaur times, there are millions of books going through each era plus special double length adventures, an ice age special etc. If he;s starting to read some words then he won't be able to read them by himself right now but he soon will.
