Hi everyone,

I'm just looking for some book recommendations for my 4 year old son as I think we are both in need of something new to read! DS has enjoyed Slinky Malinki, Winnie The Witch and Harry And The Dinosaurs recently.

Gruffalo and the rest of the Julia Donaldson books.

Percy the Park Keeper books.

The Lighthouse Keeper books.

Mr Men/Little Miss books - although I never enjoyed reading those aloud!

Commotion In The Ocean.

Depending on his attention span my ds's loved the shorter Roald Dahl books around 4 like the enormous crocodile and fantastic Mr Fox. For shorter stories/picture books they loved ones by nick Sharratt, things like 'dont put your finger in the jelly Nelly' and 'the foggy foggy forest'

How about the Sir Charlie Stinkysocks ones?

We also like the Traction Man books by Mini Grey (also her other books).

Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper is an all-time favourite. Her other books are great too.

Does he like rhyming books? We like Room on the Broom, Giant of Jum, Pirates Don't Drive Diggers, everything by Peter Bently.

There is a new set of Famous Five short stories which are illustrated and mine loves them.

Go to the library and let him choose.

Has he had Alien's love underpants? They're brilliant and I don't mind reading them every night for weeks on end.

And Barry the fish with fingers is a big hit here too.
