Roll up, roll up!
Bid for a mortgage on the doll's house! Pin the tail on the St Bernard! Guess the weight of the handsome doctor! (Or pin the tail on the doctor and guess the weight of the St Bernard). Knit a lime green liberty bodice against the clock!
The Chalet School fête is open.....

Has it really been 18 months? How time flies when you're listening to the Lady Opener and marvelling at how girlishly pretty she is despite being the proud great-grandmama of the entire prefect body - and still able to beat them all in a swimming race. For one who's always been so frail and highly-strung she's not done too badly.

In an idle moment I was moved to google 'special milk'. What a pity I didn't know about this when I was shopping around for tiles for my new bathroom last year. Think how well I'd have slept after a nice warm bath. Grin

as Christmas is looming do we need some kind of festive/wintery title?? Or have we had one of those??

Witchend · 23/09/2016 21:09

Christmas Frolics at the Chalet School?
Not very original.

Perhaps go back to one I suggested way back in the threads
"Nits at the Chalet School"

hels71 · 23/09/2016 21:16

there would not be nits at the chalet school...Matey would never allow such a thing!!

EatingMyWords · 24/09/2016 11:26

I'm re-reading Oberland- maybe we should call the new thread- Cards on a Sunday?! Grin

Gambling at the Chalet School Shock

Searching for toilets at the Chalet School

EmilyAlice · 24/09/2016 19:44

Spasheries, surely?
Trouble in the splasheries at The Chalet School. Grin

Let's just forget for one minute that this is a Sunday.

I have been busy in my kitchen domestic science today. Can anyone guess what this is?

Frau Mieders would have a few things to say about the lack of cooling rack though.

I haven't been on here for ages, have just enjoyed a good read catching up on the thread . Think I must be a DD of an Old Girl who "lost touch" with Joey and then randomly bumps into her and get sent to the school poste-haste.

Witchend · 26/09/2016 14:50

Looks like Bara Brith to me.

EmilyAlice · 26/09/2016 16:03

Guernsey gâche?

OP posts:
justiceboner · 26/09/2016 17:38

Tis a gache. And spread with lashings of butter is pretty tasty as well

GrainOfSalt · 26/09/2016 19:33

I can't believe I haven't seen this before, greetings fellow Chaletians Grin (and please please would someone PM me the details of the one drive -many thanks)

Alachia · 26/09/2016 21:37

How about something referencing the plays?

Alachia · 26/09/2016 21:38

or a shepherd's hut

Alachia · 26/09/2016 21:44

Are there any transcripts of the fill-ins? i looked at buying but some of them are so expensive? And the La Rochelle books?

I like "Nits at the Chalet School" suggested by PP. I have an almost constant battle with my daughter's hair, which seems to attract them.

EmilyAlice · 27/09/2016 06:24

"The Interminable Christmas Play at the Chalet School". (Then if the thread lasts over a year it doesn't matter). Grin

Why do I feel like crying? Must be because EmilyAlice's suggestion is the truest ever made.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 27/09/2016 12:35

The Youngest Shepherd, repeated by popular demand?

Auntpodder · 27/09/2016 15:58

Long term CS fan and lurker here. When I'm not falling into lakes/being charming but a bit patronising to locals would someone be able to share the one drive with me? Just while I wait for a handsome doctor to rescue me, of course...

Witchend · 27/09/2016 18:34

Oh yes Cheddar and Joey must reprise her role because despite being over 100yo no one else could play it like she does.

EatingMyWords · 27/09/2016 22:50

What about a panto? They are also interminable but marginally more fun than the plays. Though not as side-splitting as they seem to think! And we can do lots 'oh no she didn't' and 'it's behind you'. (I'm easily entertained)

EmilyAlice · 28/09/2016 13:49

Anyone for Fretwork? Exciting Times at the Chalet School.

hels71 · 01/10/2016 20:59

It's tricky isn't it....hmmmm maybe a hobbies club related title like above...after all that went on all year!!
