Dutch artist Dick Bruna’s first Miffy storybook was published 60 years ago in 1955. To celebrate her birthday, Simon & Schuster are releasing this very special anniversary edition of the series classic, Miffy's Birthday, published alongside a range of gorgeous new colouring, sticker and activity books.

For a chance to win a copy of the book plus an amazing Miffy goodie bag and Miffy lamp worth £110, we're asking you to submit your child's very best birthday card to Miffy.

My children are super precious and I have my late Mum's creativity - so always make my three children their birthday card from 'us.' I always use a recent picture and put a personalised poem inside that I've written. I'm keeping them all in files for the children with their other special things - like awards and school certificates, etc! It's my daughter's birthday on Thursday - so I hope she likes her latest one.

Slightly off topic, but the Dick Bruna museum in Utricht in the Netherlands is wonderful and worth a visit.

DH'S recent birthday card from our 5yo dd, my favourite part is she illustrated his 'gout' on his foot (the red bit) as he suffers from it and had a flare up at the time!

Here is my 3 year old's entry. He loves glitter and we all love Miffy!

DD (3) has made a 'M for Miffy' card (with a few more modern literary characters on, and of course plenty of glitter glue!)

Here's my son's effort - he's only just 4 and not at all into drawing but was quite excited to do this as he's really enjoyed the Miffy stories we've read. They're quite abstact but he assures me the yellow thing in the bottom right corner of one and the funny little figure in the top corner of the other side are Miffy and there are lots of kisses!

Here is my son's, aged 3, creation. We don't buy cards for family and friends we make them.

Happy 60th birthday miffy! I loved miffy as a child and my 5 year old girl adores her too now!! Here is miffys card from Megan- she was VERY shocked at miffys age!! Hence the 'you're old' ????????????????????????

Birthday card from DD (age 5). She would not believe me that Miffy was 60. I am not sure why Miffy has a black eye. I think the party the night before might have been a bit raucous.

DD age three did Miffy a special Miffy birthday cake.

DD aged four drew this card based on the pictures from 'Miffy's Birthday'. The version we have is one of the Christmas presents I had on my third birthday. So pleased she loves Miffy just as much I do.

I've just had the book newsletter email with a link here and would like to get dd to do a card tomorrow but the initial message says date the competition closes is beginning of July, does this mean it's too late?

Hi Reastie and purplepandas, sorry for the confusion. We thought this might be a fun activity to do over the summer hols so have decided to keep this competition open for an extra month. I've updated the opening post now, hope that clears things up :)

Here is dds entry. I've changed nn for this and have put a picture of dd hard at work on the card.

She took it very seriously and we have had glue, glitter, cotton wool, stampers, and more glitter out to do this . She's four and is very proud of the card. The front is of miffy (obv) then inside she drew a picture of herself with a cake for miffy (6 candles because she couldn't manage 60) and then a big glittery feathery cake for miffy (Apparently we had to stick the random five eggs on the bottom of the cake because miffy would really like them). This is definitely dds best birthday card for miffy she didn't try nearly so hard for Dhs birthday card
