Beast Quest

I am looking for a collection of books to split down for 'party bags' and wondered if the Beast Quest would be suitable or do they have to be read in order?

Any other suggestions gratefully received - preferably selling cheap somewhere! Needs to be something boys and girls would both enjoy, aged 7+.

BQ work fine read in random order, as intro to the (highly formulaic) series.

Beast Quest is along the same lines of Rainbow Fairies: doesn't matter what order you read them; they're all basically the same.

Great, just what I wanted to hear!

Check out the Book People for deals. We've been given some good books in party bags, kid-friendly Shakespeare, Battersea dogs home stories, books about wildlife etc..,

My dd wouldn't touch BQ with a barge pole, but don't let that put you off!

Amazon has a new box set of 8 Paddington books for £10.50. Given the recent film now known to many. Sorry I wouldn't give Beastquest to girls despite my feminist tendencies.
