I've just read this book on women's history an would like some suggestions for junior versions.

Ds is 7 and reads lots of history but I would like him to have a sense that history isn't just the male version! He has historical fiction that has women in it but he is a big non- fiction reader.

Any suggestions? Most non-fiction for kids is about specific women rather than groups of women so any suggestions would be very welcome!!

Didn't Sandi Tosvig write a couple about amazing women in history aimed at children?

Can't remember the titles but Google / Amazon should be able to.

Ill have a look.

I don't want books about specific women though - more of women as a gender in history iyswim
