After National Poetry Day, I would like to start reading poems with the DC. Can anyone recommend a good book featuring a variety of poets? DC are 5&3 so would need to be accessible for them.

The puffin book of fantastic first poems is good and there's a lovely book of Christmas poems on Amazon at the moment.

We've got "Read it and Laugh - a funny poem for every day of the year" - does what it says on the tin!

Sorry, 'read me and laugh'

It doesn't feature a variety of poets, but it does feature a variety of great, fun poetry - Bananas in My Ears by Michael Rosen. It's illustrated by Quentin Blake too.

Joseph Coelho is fantastic. He has a few poems on YouTube but also has a new book out called Werewolf Club Rules.
