Tom Gates anyone?

Sorry to be brief but I have to dash & just remembered that the Book People have a whole series of Tom Gates available at the moment.

My DS is 9 & an able reader, in the last 6 months he's done all of Harry Potter, the Percy Jackson series, Roman Mysteries & The Hobbit. Will Tom Gates suit him?

My ds (7) has just finished a Tom Gates and really enjoyed it.

However I wouldn't say he would be able to cope with reading any of the books you have mentioned so you might find your dc finds them too easy.

Just asked my other ds (11) what he thought and his comment was Tom Gates before Percy Jackson but definitely not after!

He has suggested the Wolf Brother series by Michelle Paver.

Maybe try Skulduggery Pleasant instead? I think Tom Gates could be too young for him if he's reading those.
