Children's atlas?

DS1 (4.5) has recently started asking all about the world & different countries. I'd like to get him an atlas, but don't want one too difficult for him to understand, but not too 'babyish' either. DS1 is clever and can read fluently so I want him to enjoy reading it.

Can anyone recommend one?

Have a look at the Barefoot Books World Atlas. There are great illustrations and enough text for it to be interesting. Some of the text is hidden under flaps.

Barefoot also do this as an App. We just have the basic app (you can buy extra packs), but it is a great way for DD to explore. Despite having had the app for some time I thought it was really interesting that DD chose to have the proper book too.
