Book to explain separation and divorce

I have two DDs aged 5 and 8. Their dad and I are separated and will be divorcing soon. He works away a lot and they have never noticed that we are separated. I'm looking for recommendations of books for them. I'd prefer stories where the divorce isn't the main focus. Books where the protagonists just happen to have parents who are divorced would be ideal. I want them to be prepared for the news and think positively.

Not 'Mum and Dad Glue', which I think is a pile of shite.

I like things like 'The Great Big Book of Families' as preparation that families are all sorts.

Quite a few films are based around separated/divorced parents, and I think these can be helpful in making sure the focus is on the parents don't love each other, but do love the kids, eg. Mrs Doubtfire.

Goggle-Eyes is quite good, I remember from being about 8 myself.

Have you seen the Violet Mackerel series?

Mum lives with son and 2 daughters (one is Violet). They happen to be divorced. It is told from Violet's perspective. A beautiful series that focus on the things that are important in Violet's world. Just beautiful, fun and endearing.
