Ds is into Indiana Jones and the idea of exploration and finding artefacts. He currently is much more into fiction than non but was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for either? I've just found Jake's Bones which looks brilliant and have ordered that.

Try reading "King Solomon's Mines" to him (a strand of inspiration for Indie). If he likes it, read "She" as well.

Ophelia and the Marvellous Boy may be a good angle on that theme. Fab book!

About 10 years or so ago, there was a series of books called Explorers Wanted! by Simon Chapman. I remember one was called On Safari, and another In The Jungle. Might be worth checking to see if they are still available.

Nina and the Kung Fu Adventure - fiction, but touches on the terracotta army in China and is exciting in an Indian Jones way.
And on that note, I'm I've seen some kind of young Indiana Jones books somewhere which might be worth investigating
