We're just about to finish Dick King Smith's The Sheep Pig, which has gone down really well. I never read it as a child so I'm wondering what other great books I missed and we can share together Grin

Any book that looks like it might be scary gets rejected (Harry Potter will have to wait a bit longer!)

My Naughty Little Sister...while not a chapter book in one sense, it is in another. It's a fantastic collection of short stories which all tie in together. The little sister is SO naughty she's fabulous. Even when she bites Father Christmas it doesn't put you off her!

The Hodgeheg.

Lots of Roald Dahl. Esio trot, Charlie & the CF; The giraffe, the pelly and me; Danny, champion of the world; James and the Giant Peach.

The Grumps.

Littlenose has been a favourite with DS1 (6) for a while now.
I loved it as a child and am enjoying it just as much now.
Another vote for My Naughty Little Sister too.
