Welome everyone. Dormy lists on the board as usual and I know you are all hoping like mad that you are all not in the same dormitory as Mary Lou. But only some of you can be the un lucky ones and the rest of us will have to make do with each other.

Oh, and the good news is that Joey has sabotaged discovered something wrong with the roof on her house and believe it or not, the only property available to rent is right next door to the school.

Shit Hurrah, lucky us.

Got to go. Matey wants me for unpacking.

hagar I heard Joan Baker saying she was going to be very busy this term. Oh, I'm so glad she had decided to devote herself to her studies and put all thoughts of chips and mr kipling cakes to the back of her mind.

Yes! I found Mystery a little experimental, but not bad. Rosalie is nice.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 15/08/2014 21:42

I think Miss Annersley is thrilled at the new leaf Joan is turning over. I heard her say that the situation cannot escape the other girls' attention for very long and they'll need to consider the impact on other pupils. Who'd have thought Joan Baker would be inspiring us all to greater Chaletdom?

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 21:42

Hester Shaw, WilsonFrickett and SpottyBra, where are you?

Have you gone to St Milicent's?

Lovely shiny new home my lambs, place marking before embarking on a fraught journey to France for the hols.

Don't relegate me to a non-window cubey while I'm away. I plan on practising my lacrosse ready for the coming term.

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 21:45

I heard Joey say that Joan could stay with her 'for the duration' and that then there would be 'another baby in the nursery'.

Gosh Robin I think Joan is taking your place as Joey's support during her 'busy' periods.

Marcipex · 15/08/2014 21:47

I want a window cubey. I need to make sure I've got my kenwigses straight every morning. Otherwise I might moon and be late for Frustick.

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 21:50

I always thought Cecil had very common hair. And the way she scoffs Tesco Swiss Roll..........

OP posts:
EatingMyWords · 15/08/2014 21:59

Ooh shiny new school! Can I be in Weedy?- lovely leaves and rasta colours Wink

Cecil likes fruit shoots and greggs sasuage rolls too I hear and she spits out Anna's lovely lemon biscuits Shock

A CS GBBO crossover might be fun. Imagine Mary Berry's face when she tries Evadne's sulpher biscuits!

Whyamihere · 15/08/2014 22:02

Found you, are we in flame or gentian blue uniform?

Who's head girl this term, let me guess is it a Maynard or a Bettany, or is it OOAOML... again.

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 22:02

I think Cecil is cheaply pretty. I presume she gets that from one of Jack's far distant relatives. I believe one of them worked in the Mr Kipling factory putting the cherries on top of the bakewells. That's what Joey told me anyway.......

OP posts:
Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 22:04

Ooh we haven't heard who's head girl yet. I heard Mary Lou going 'Meee? Really??? But why?????' in front of the mirror in the splasheries.

EatingMyWords · 15/08/2014 22:05

That reminds me of the fanfic I read where ML was a secret love child of a school girl Joey! I don't think she'd written the bit where the father was revealed.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 15/08/2014 22:06

Ooh, can we be in gentian blue please? It will go so much better with my chestnut curls and purple eyes like English wood violets.

Marcipex · 15/08/2014 22:11

Gentian blue please. The air here has give me a complexion (what?) so now blue suits me.

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 22:15

It's been decided that we will wear gentian blue gym slips with flame ties and lime green blazers.

I cannot wait Sad

Tussore or revers, it's all the same to me.

I have to google to find out what it bloody is either way

I shall look trig and sonsy in either.

JellicleCat · 15/08/2014 22:19

I am a new girl so no idea what dormy I am in, Someone said they were my sheepdog but they muttered something about wicker baskets and I have no idea where they went.

I am expecting to fit in though as I speak 6 languages and my mother's friend's aunt was an old girl and is married to a doctor.

By the way I have cake and gin with me

Marcipex · 15/08/2014 22:20

We'll have to wear the glasses we had for snow blindness Vintagejazz.

I don't like the sound of Weedy. It's a bit Molesworth.
Grapevines would be pretty on the cubey curtains though.

Who is head of Grapevine? Not OOAOML please. I wouldn't mind if it's Thekla. She won't care what we do.

joanofarchitrave · 15/08/2014 22:21

I'm just admiring the cretonne bespattered with jonquils in my cubey.

I'm about to give Matron a minor heart attack by saying 'OK' and will have to write out 'She had a voice that was ever soft, gentle and low, an excellent thing in woman'.

I couldn't possibly have used that quote from memory 20 years after last reading it as the epigraph for an essay that got me through an exam on a completely unrelated topic

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 22:22

Jellicle, we often meet up with some of the new girls in the Summerhouse. It's a custom to make them feel at home and share their cake and booze.

OP posts:
NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 15/08/2014 22:26

Don't confuse it with your first trip to Freudesheim though, Jellicle. A jolly waste of gin that would be. :(

Marci my lamb why on earth wouldn't you want OOAOML as your dormy head? Confused

Vintagejazz · 15/08/2014 22:28

Joanofarc

Apparently you and JoanBaker are in Peruvian Lily dorm. It is, I believe, an easy flower that spreads itself around.

Marcipex · 15/08/2014 22:35

She's so on the spot Vintage.
And I like to read lying down, and I haven't got a bed jacket since a slight accident with Joan Bakers cigarettes. Luckily we had the usual pudding basin of water to wash in, so we put the fire out with that.
Only Jockel knows but he promised not to tell and anyway Joan said she'd repay the favour after lights out. I don't know why he has to wait until then but that's what they said.

Marcipex · 15/08/2014 22:37

Sorry Nell, that was in reply to you! Obviously Matron was right and I have ruined my eyesight by reading lying down without a bed jacket.
