Does anyone else feel there should be some form of classification on children's literature. Teens is a very broad spectrum and surely books appropriate for 16+yrs will not always be for 13. I was appalled at sexually explicit books sold in teen dept which had no warning.depite checking the back cover and flicking through several pages I had no inkling at the explicit content of this book until my ashen faced child handed it to me and said he didn't think it appropriate.. Shops response was it's down to censorship and they are guided by publisher.i am appalled that this is deemed ok.has anyone come across similar problem?
