Hello All
I'd really appreciate your help with this.
I’m a Dad of two teen boys who spent a lot of time reading to them when they were younger. I have an urgent need to get creative and start a career as an author of children’s stories. When it comes to writing for children, a parent’s perspective is often missing.
I’m just wondering…what really drives kids? What fascinates them? What anxieties do they have? What’s really important in their lives? As parents do we really know??
So I’d love to hear your thoughts. What tips would you give for creating compelling stories for children, especially 6-10 years old; stories that will drag them away from IPods and the Xbox!
All advice will be wonderful and much appreciated.
Jamie
