I read this to dd1 when I was in Australia (but don't know if it's been published in the UK). I can't remember the title, nor the author. It was a fantastically simple book but really useful in explaining love and care and life-cycle.

It started off telling the story of how a mother held her little boy, brushed his hair and sang him a song. As years went by, the mother got old and frail and close to death. In turn, the boy - now a man - started to do these things for his elderly mother. It was such a tender message and I would love to get hold of it again. Does anyone else know of it?

It is 'Love You Forever' by Robert Munsch.
