Santa brought:

Cellular Biology: Organelles, structure, function

By April Chloe terrazas

Extremely well presented, simple, very informative for adults as well, with phonics guide on how to pronounce words and nice questions to practise.

Great book. Will now search for others by this author. Would highly recommend.

Do you think 8-year-old DD would be too young for it? Thanks for the recommendation.

I would mock shamelessly / accuse you of spamming, but as it happens, HFA DS(9) is rather keen on cellular biology, having been seduced by the nice virus research ladies from UCL with their antibody models at the Royal Society summer fair, so thanks for the rec.

Hi, my dd is seven, 8 in a few months and she has spent all morning reading it to us. I now would like for a children's microscope, we have one from the science museum but it doen't magnify enough to see cells etc. no idea how to find an affordable but powerful microscope so any suggestions would be greatfully received.

This author has also got a website but it doesn't work from an ipad.

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you think her Chemistry book is also good?
