Young crime stories

I have a ds9 who has read the five find outers series and would like to take this further and try a crime novel aimed at children. Any ideas?

Alex Rider? He's a teenage spy. Dd1 loved them at that age.

Roman Mysteries are a set of children in Roman times solving mysteries.

There's also Hardy Boys, 3 Investigators and similar which are solving crimes.

Second the Roman Mysteries, if he likes them there's also a tv series available on dvd which is well done.

there's The Black Cat Detectives Series - honestly can't remember what age group it's aimed at, but it's good!
