Google has failed me. Children's/teen novel about Pavane for a Dead Infanta?

Suddenly popped into my head. Older girl's book, maybe a time travel element, a child that has learned to play Pavane on the piano? ring any bells?

I found your message whilst searching for this book myself! It is called "requiem for a Princess" by Ruth M. Arthur and is available, as you would guess, on Amazon. My memory is of a girl remembering a Spanish princess wrecked in England, and that the piano music came into it somewhere too.
