Anyone read her series if books. Are they any good ? And are they appropriate for an 8 yo boy?

Very good and yes, I would rate them as appropriate for an 8 yo boy - my daughter, whose a very confident reader, loved them. She started with "Wolf Brother" and read all of the "Chronicles of Darkness" series.

Some younger children find the Wolf Brother series hard to get into but it is excellent and meticulously researched. I've had teenagers read it and love it.
