Interesting book ideas for DD aged 7

DD is yr2 and just turned 7. She would read every waking moment if she could and hence goes through books quite quickly. I would like to stretch he a little more with the books she reads and I think she could cope with something slightly more mature.

She has read a lot of Enid Blyton, Clarice Bean, Naughty Puppy, Roald Dahl, Horrid Henry Darcy Bussel ballerina books, Princess books bloody Rainbow Fairy books basically anything she can get her hands on. I would like to try and steer her away from the likes of RF and get her to try something a bit more challenging.

We still read as a family at bedtime fairly often and have read some classics like Alice, Tom's Midnight Garden etc and she has enjiyed these. Her comprehension is very good. I am planning on reading Narnia and Stig of the Dump as shared stories next to her and her brother.

I would be really grateful for some suggestions

Mix of fiction and non-fiction books, such as:

Billionaire Boy, Gangsta Granny, Mr Stink
Princess Poppy
Don't Cook Cinderella
Jenny the Cat (Blackwells still does them)
Swallows and Amazons
Ballet Stories
Usborne book Greek Myths

Basher Science books (they are small books about a huge range of topics)
Usborne books about Volcanoes, Vikings, Weather, Slavery, Romans, The Victorians etc. etc. (they have lots of small books about UK History, same as the big book about UK history and works out slightly more expensive but children tend to be put off by one HUGE book so the smaller books tend to go down a lot better IME)

And of course Pippy Longstocking

My own DD loved Juney B Jones books there's a whole series & they grow with the DCs IYSWIM -

I was a bit concerned as they are written as a DC might speak at a young age, but that's what DD loved about them & its done her literacy no harm at all, quite the opposite in fact, so don't let that put you off:)

Thanks for the suggestions. She has read Mr Stink but not any other David Walliam books. Tha Basher Science books sound great for DS too, I will have a look through the suggestions on Amazon

Search for Delicious, The Tree That Sat Down trilogy, The Farthest Away Mountain, Ludo and the Star Horse, and The Brothers Lionheart are all wonderful reads - I still have my childhood copies, and re-read them sometimes
