My DD really wants this book for her birthday but it says it is aimed at 11+ so I wondered if anyone had read it and whether it would be ok. She is very good at reading but I was wondering if there are references to his drug addiction in it, which may not be suitable for a 9 year old. I have read the adult version and I know this one is a kids book but I don't know how they have dealt with this issue.
