My list is lost!

Since I first knew I was having a baby 4 years ago I've been compiling a list, jotting down when I remember my favorite childhood books, other people's recommendations, all the things I'll read to my babies

I was building the best children's library in the world. The one I always wanted

And now it's gone. My hard drive failed and of the 1099744 things I've lost it's this one I'm most sad about

Please can you tell me your all time favourite children's books, for any age, and i can start rebuilding my list?

I buy most of our books from charity shops so it helps to remember what to watch out for

I think you should take a more spontaneous approach to the favourites/best/classics for children. I've been impressed when I re-read my childhood favourites how many are pants. Rose-tinted glasses, and all.

Yes! That list is great Rolf, lots on there I'd had on my list but not been able to think if again

Lljkk we do take a totally random approach, reading anything that crosses our path, but you know those books that 'made' your childhood. It was those I'd been recording, because so many get forgotten. And yes lots are shite but I loved them once and I'm a sentimental fool
