Illustrated Wizard of Oz, or other illustrated classics

Anybody got any good recommendations for nicely illustrated version of the Wizard of Oz? I'd love to read it to DD, but all the illustrated versions I have seen are abridged, which is not what I want.

I'd also love to hear any recommendations for other well illustrated children's classics. I love hardback books with beautiful colour plates, and my DD tends to switch off if there aren't a few nice pictures to look at. Would love to find a couple of good quality books to wrap up for Christmas.

TIA

Just reread above post and now have to apologise for massive overuse of the word "love".

There's an Usborne one, that is fairly decent. It's in this collection www.amazon.co.uk/Illustrated-Classics-Children-Usborne-Collections/dp/1409532593/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1353110878&sr=1-3, but probably comes separately too.

someone linked to this site the other day, the folio society, not cheap but they do illustrated versions.

Thank you so much. And nipersvest, thanks for thinking of the Folio Society. I had forgotten all about them. They have the most gorgeous books - and I have just seen they have all of Andrew Lang's Fairy Books, which I have been hunting for!

There's a nice colourful hardback one here and as you say, beautifully illustrated children's classics such as The Secret Garden, A Christmas Carol, Wind in the Willows etc. I've looked at The Secret Garden in Waterstones and it's the full version so others might be too.
