Hi, This is the first time I've really had time to sit down and look at this and it looks amazing. Anyone got any tips on how to keep up with it all as it looks like there's loads of information on here. I love the whole book review idea and will definitely be looking out for those that are recommended.

I'm guessing you're talking about the site as a whole, and not just the Children's Books topic?

Firstly welcome and secondly in terms of where to go then:

All Topics, located under the 'Talk' dropdown is a useful reference for seeing what's around that might interest you. It's easiest if you select 'show all' to give the full view

Mumsnet Classics ( link here helps to see what can happen when the wine hits the posters on a Friday (or any other day Wink).

AIBU / Chat / Relationships are probably the busiest boards. Chat tends to be light-hearted, AIBU can get a bit heated and Relationships a bit depressing (but supportive to those going through it)

The Active list is good for skimming. If you haven't already, I'd recommend setting your profiles to show your posts in a particular colour and the OP posts in another. Also switch on the 'bookmarks' function - makes it much easier to follow long threads that way.

Hope this helps (and was actually what your post referred to!).

Thank you, that's brilliant. I'm new to all of Mumsnet, I was just in the children's books bit when I realised just how much information there actually is!

Thank you for the tips :-)

If someone recommends that you Google something, please don't.

Spoilsport! (to Chaos) - although in fairness, if such a substance as 'brain bleach' does exist, Mumsnetters would get through vast quantities as a result of clinking on the links supplied around here...
