I adore The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde and really want to get a copy of his full set of stories for children - I'm particularly keen on beautiful illustrations! My copy of The Selfish Giant is illustrated by Michael Foreman and Freire Wright. Any ideas which version I should go for?

Free on Kindle Grin That's where I got them anyway.
That said, obviously if you want some lovely illustrations, go for a proper book.
I used to have an LP record with four children's stories on it, and Selfish Giant was one of them. I can still remember the sound of the opening music and the woman's voice that read it. It got cracked one day, I still think my sister did it and denied it, and I was heartbroken. This was in the 1970s Grin owld gimmer

Wow, the record sounds wonderful. I know I could get them free on kindle but I do really want a printed version for my DC to read. I still cry every time I read the end of The Selfish Giant! It's probably my favourite children's story.

There is a lovely illustrated The Happy Prince by Jane Ray and an edition of The Selfish Giant illustrated by the very talented Lisbeth Zwerger.
