I also posted this under Education and received a couple of helpful replies so wanted to try here too.

I am looking for non fiction books for my 3yr old dc. Needs to have great pictures and interesting facts. She likes learning 'lists' and types of things.

I bought a dinosaur book "the little kids first big book of dinos" but it is really disappointing. All the pictures are the same, the facts are boring and repetitive and not the sort of thing we were looking for at all.

So suggestions please - good non fiction books - on any subject!

Have you tried Dorling Kindersley?
Always very good. Smile

Try The Works - loads of good cheap non-fiction paperbacks in there, we have had books about the life cycles of trees, chickens, bees, books of different kinds of crocodiles, spiders, allsorts. My 3yo boy loves them.

It's worth going to the library and getting books designed for older ones. They love looking at the pictures, and you can read short bursts of the information given. There are some good Usborne books- we have "How the body works". Very good.
