Does anyone know of any books with cubs (Scouts, not bears or lions) in them ?

Just trying to keep life simple for myself. Apparently some fool has decided that all children as dd2's school should dress up on 1st March for World Book Day. Usually she would be going into school in her Cub Uniform to mark St David's day (they usually get all the dcs in Uniformed Orgs to wear Uniform on Saints days). Just wondering if I can combine the two and not have to faff about thinking of a costume I can cobble together ? Just need MNers to point me in the direction of a book she can "get the character from" Grin

Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes) gets signed up for cubs at one point in the books - she would need a stuffed tiger, sticky up hair and to look very lost though!

There were (I think) a set of comic children's books written about a set of cubs, I think in 1970s. I think this is one of them:

Oops. Posted too soon:
They were mostly set around 2 cubs, one called "Nobby Clark" and I can't remember the other. They would try their best, get stuck in comic situations and end up coming out top, usually more by good luck than judgement.
By Stephen Andrews-and I've found a few more: "Cubs on Saturday" and "Cubs Ahoy". They're available on Amazon second hand.

She'd want to be a bit scuffily dressed, but cub uniform would be right-they seemed to wear it all the time even when not doing cub stuff.

Brill! thanks DeWe - the 'scruffy' won't be any problem for her Grin
It's odd you know, my dcs have all been cubs and all been avid readers but I can't recall them ever reading a book that featured any cubs!
