dd1 (6) got sent a set of Ivy and Bean books for Christmas from the US. I'd never heard of it before, but i have to say: feckin genius!

Anyone else read it? If not, I really recommend it: lovely feisty heroines, and very very funny.

DD(7) is flying through these, she loves them. They're the first chapter books she's really gotten into. I usually get them from amazon.co.uk as they don't have them in the shops here (Ireland)

How many are there, hawthorn? We've got 3.

Think there are 7 currently and 8th on its way, maybe it's out in hb? We got first 3 on their own and then next 3 in a set with paper dolls, and she got no 7 from relatives for Christmas.

DD just turned 7 got the first set for Christmas,I've just ordered the second set as I think they're bloody brilliant too!!!!I love reading them,so nice to see fiesty little girl characters my dd can identify with.

That pic of the bedroom in the first book with the mummified Barbie had dp and I in stiches-that is my dd!!!!!!She's apparently setting up a potion lab too.

There is a website.

The first boxset with the secret notebook was such a lovely present. Can't wait for the 2nd set with the paper dolls to arrive. Don't know wether to order 7 & 8 or wait for the third box set as they're lovely.

On googling I see there is an Ivy and Bean button maker and notelets too.
