Why does the wind blow?

Please can anyone recommend a book for my 5 year old. He asks all sorts of wondeful questions like "Why does the wind blow" or "Why is the sky blue" or "How do you know the chair doesn't disappear when you turn around". He's a bit ahead of himself with the last one....! I can talk philosophy, but I'm no scientist, and although my husband can explain these things, I would love a book called something like "Why does the wind blow and other interesting questions" ....
Thanks!

Have you tried a bookshop? Seriously, the children's section has lots of these sorts of things. Usborne ones are often good.

Just had a look at the Waterstones site. Go there, select age 5-8 and reference/information books. Lots of great books.

There's a really good collection called 'I wonder why?' here. Sometimes you can buy the whole set (as well as individual titles) - check ebay. DS was given them for Xmas last year, from a kindly elderly relative, and really likes them - they are the kind of book that you can dip in and out of as well as read from cover to cover. HTH
