Saw a thread talking about how great this book is - thought I might get it for DHs niece for christmas but she will be nearly 6 - is that too old? [clueless] . If it is, any suggestions for a child who seems to have nearly every book known to mankind?

Gave it to 4 yr old last year and he loved it. Would suggest probably 6 is too old.

Maybe consider this one if you think she has millions. Usborne are always nicely presented/illustrated.

thanks mun. I'll have to save that book for my dd then when she's old enough! Not sure that book is nieces taste as she loves cheeky funny stuff but does look lovely

You set me off looking for books for kids I have to buy for and I've gone for this Xmas tale for a 6yr old girl - reviews of the series say funny.

It's too young for your 6 yr old niece, I bought it for my almost 4 year old who lives on toilet humour and I think it could be too young for him. Perhaps he is more sophisticated than I give him credit for ... if only he could stop saying poo, wee and stinky at every given opportunity ... it's not going to happen is it?
