Can anyone remember a book from my childhood?

It's just the image I remember. Of a stuffed horse/donkey sitting down sort of floppy.

I can remember the image and am sure I loved the story but cannot remember it

You said it was a stuffed DONKEY and nowhere did you mention a flipping BOBBIN!!
